Ronhill Freedom Ultra

The Ronhill Freedom Ultra is a premium technical shoe for runners tackling trails, mixed terrain and ultra distances, where stability, durability and grip matter without weighing down your stride. It is designed to keep the heel & midfoot secure while allowing the forefoot to work naturally on uneven ground.

Midsole – Duo-Pro (Dual Density)

Cushioning is based on the Duo-Pro midsole, a dual-density construction designed to deliver two things:
comfort underfoot and control when the terrain becomes more demanding.
The softer feel in the contact zone reduces impact, while the more stable base helps keep your footing predictable on rock and dirt, especially when fatigue sets in over longer distances.

Outsole – MICHELIN® OC1 (Grip & Durability)

The outsole uses MICHELIN® OC1, a material inspired by Michelin’s expertise in rubber compounds, designed for grip and high wear resistance.
The 4 mm lugs bite into dirt and trails without making the shoe slow on firmer, faster surfaces.

Upper – MATRYX® (Durability at Low Weight)

The upper is made from MATRYX®, a highly durable technical fabric designed for abrasion resistance and a secure fit in challenging conditions.
The Wrap-Over Lacing construction wraps the midfoot for improved lockdown and control when changing direction, while the reinforced heel structure (sturdy heel cup) increases stability on descents and technical sections.

Geometry – Stack / Drop

With a stack height of 32 mm / 27 mm and a 5 mm drop, the Freedom Ultra provides the necessary protection for ultra-distance running without losing the sense of control on the trail.
