The ALTRA Vanish Carbon 2 is Altra’s flagship racing model, designed for maximum speed, efficiency and running economy in road races. It combines super foam technology and a carbon plate, creating a performance shoe that converts the energy of each stride into forward propulsion.

Altra EGO™ PRO – Performance Super Foam

The midsole uses Altra EGO™ PRO, a lightweight, high-performance foam with increased energy return. Compression absorbs impact, while elastic rebound creates a “bounce” sensation, helping maintain a high pace with less muscle fatigue.

Full-Length Carbon Plate – Propulsion & Performance

The full-length carbon plate acts as a lever that increases stride efficiency. It stabilises foot strike and converts vertical force into horizontal propulsion, enhancing speed particularly at race pace.

Active Stance Rocker – Racing Transition

The Active Stance Rocker geometry delivers an aggressive, smooth transition from heel to toe, reducing energy loss and improving running economy.

Zero Drop™ & FootShape™ – Natural Propulsive Power

The Zero Drop™ platform (0 mm) maintains natural body alignment, while the FootShape™ toe box allows the toes to spread, enhancing stability and power at toe-off.
