ALTRA Men's FWD VIA 2 BLUE/GRAY

Altra FWD Via 2 Road Running Shoes

The Altra FWD Via 2 is a max-cushioning daily road trainer with a more propulsive ride. Altra designed it for daily mileage, recovery runs and long runs. It provides comfort and protection while helping you maintain a steady pace.

Altra EGO™ P35: softer, more responsive underfoot feel

The midsole uses Altra EGO™ P35 for a lightweight, efficient feel. Altra states that it is 19% softer and 15% more responsive than the midsole of the original FWD VIA. This provides better cushioning and more immediate energy return.

In practice, P35 helps you run with less fatigue. It also maintains a smooth ride as the miles build up. At the same time, it delivers a more responsive toe-off at a steady pace. This makes the shoe ideal for runners who want comfort while also seeking a responsive feel.

• 19% softer feel for greater comfort
• 15% more responsive for better energy return
• Lightweight, efficient ride for daily runs and long runs

Engineered mesh upper & plush tongue: breathable and more comfortable from the first step

The engineered mesh improves ventilation. This helps keep your foot cooler during road training. In addition, the updated plush tongue provides a softer step-in feel. It also reduces pressure across the instep, especially when tightening the laces.

4 mm drop & Rocker Shape Geometry for a smooth toe-off

The 4 mm drop supports a natural forward transition. In addition, the rocker shape geometry creates a smoother ride. This supports you through continuous mileage and at a steady pace.

FootShape™ Original Fit: comfort at the front, control at the midfoot

The FootShape™ Original Fit provides Altra’s roomiest toe box. This allows the toes to splay more naturally and helps you feel better balanced. There is also room through the midfoot for comfort on long runs.

Rubber outsole for reliable grip

The rubber outsole provides confidence on tarmac. It also withstands frequent use. This makes the FWD Via 2 a reliable road training shoe.
